Transport Scottland is preparing a plan to place a landslip-prone section of the A83 trunk road in Argyll on a new alignment in the same corridor.
The A83 has been closed repeatedly by landslips at the Rest and Be Thankful beauty spot between Arrochar and Cairndow. An incident last summer also closed the emergency diversion route of the Old Military Road in the corridor.
