Plans to reduce the number of car trips in Manchester city centre are explained in a new transport strategy.
The number of cars crossing the Manchester-Salford Inner Relief Route in the morning peak has fallen about 28 per cent since 2002 – from about 32,000 (37 per cent of all journeys) to fewer than 23,000 (21 per cent).
