The estimated cost of building five rail stations in the West Midlands conurbation has risen from £70m to £117m.
The West Midland Combined Authority’s board last week approved the full business cases for stations at Darlaston and Willenhall on the Walsall to Wolverhampton line, and Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell on the Camp Hill line in south Birmingham. The stations are being promoted as two packages.
