West Lothian Council has raised concern about the Scottish Government’s plan to give Scots aged under 19 free bus travel (LTT 13 Nov). “Consideration should be given to whether some young people may utilise the bus for a ‘social space’ instead of for travel, for example on circular routes particularly in the evening,” says the council. “There is a potential that this could deter others from using services at particular times of the day.” West Lothian...
