W Lothian wants high-speed station

West Lothian Council is to press for a parkway station if a high-speed rail line is ever built between Edinburgh and Glasgow. 

A high-speed line linking the cities was investigated in the report by HS2 Ltd into options for extending high-speed services into Scotland (LTT 01 Apr). West Lothian points out that HS2 Ltd’s report said: “There is also an option to include one or more intermediate parkway stations in central Scotland to give better connectivity with the motorway...
