Wisbech rail plan progresses

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority will seek Government funding to restore the railway line to the north Cambridgeshire town of Wisbech. The project’s cost looks likely to end up far in excess of £200m. 

North East Cambridgeshire MP Steve Barclay is to lead the campaign for a share of the Government’s new Restoring Railways Fund to take the project forward.
