Warrington presses for town centre station on NPR network

Warrington Borough Council is pressing for a Northern Powerhouse Rail station to be built in the centre of the town, rather than in a parkway location to the south.

The strategic outline business case for NPR, published last February, identified a station at Warrington on a new line to Liverpool. The line would be used by both HS2 and NPR services to/from Liverpool.
