Leeds explores parking levy...

Leeds City Council is to consider introducing a workplace parking levy. 

The idea is presented in a report discussing how the council is responding to its recent climate emergency declaration.

The council also plans to stop paying staff travel expenses if they use pure petrol or diesel cars on work business. It estimates that staff using their own vehicles to undertake council work  – the so-called grey fleet – emit 1,262 tonnes of CO2e a year.
