Small bus companies should be given support in any procurements of bus franchises in Wales through mechanisms such as a tender price advantage, the Welsh Government has been told.

Many respondents to the Government’s Improving Public Transport White Paper consultation (LTT 14 Dec 18) agreed that “specific consideration should be given” to how small to medium enterprises (SMEs) can be involved in franchise procurements.
