The fate of the controversial M4 Relief Road at Newport could be decided by the National Assembly for Wales rather than the Welsh Government, it emerged this week.
Ministers previously conceded that AMs should vote on the £1.4bn scheme after the recommendations of the public inquiry are published, but said the vote would only be for them to “note”.
