The National Infrastructure Commission is to explore how to engage stakeholders and the public at large with the topic of road pricing, saying reforms to the way we pay for road use are “inevitable”.
The Commission’s National Infrastructure Assessment says road pricing could protect motoring tax revenues. Fuel duty revenues will decline sharply if, as the Government expects, sales of low/zero emission vehicles grow rapidly.
