A draft plan for connecting the proposed East Midlands HS2 hub station into the area’s local road, rail and light rail networks has been published. 

Nottinghamshire County Council leader Kay Cutts told councillors that the East Midlands Hub station, due to open as part of the West Midlands-Leeds HS2 route in 2033, would “be the best connected on the high-speed network outside London”.
