Politicians ought to keep clear of high-speed trains

It bothers me no end when I see politicians getting on high-speed trains. It reminds me of the early days of David Cameron’s premiership when he took to leaving meetings at the EU with the words “I’ve a train to catch.” Others must have thought “Is he really the Prime Minister?” It made him susceptible to the snake oil salesmen flogging HS2 saying, “You too can have a train set like that.”
