Ministers criticise diesel parking charges

Councils should not impose higher parking charges on more polluting vehicles such as diesels, the Government has said. 

Many councils operate emissions-based residents parking permits and Westminster City Council this summer launched a surcharge for diesel cars parking on-street in Marylebone.
