New Statesman bemoans little party interest in transport issues

In a rare media debate on the transport policies of the significant (English) political parties, one of the country’s political magazines was scathing about the comparative lack of interest shown. Rik Thomas reports

Transport received far less media coverage than many other issues in the run up to the General Election, with the possible exception of Labour’s proposals to renationalise the railways (see Media Monitor 26 May).
