Edinburgh-Glasgow electrification delayed

Network Rail’s Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP) has suffered a further delay after a fault was discovered in one of the components that has already been installed. 

The news comes three months after it emerged that some of the new electrification equipment on the Gospel Oak to Barking line, in north-east London, requires replacement.
