Coventry City Council has dropped plans for bus rapid transit (BRT) and instead wants to pioneer lightweight rail technology known as Very Light Rail (VLR).
The council and now defunct PTE Centro had been pursuing Sprint BRT proposals, including a route between the city and the proposed HS2 Interchange station in neighbouring Solihull.
