Fresh controversy about HS2 costs as Royal Assent nears

The Government’s hybrid Bill for the London-West Midlands high-speed railway should receive Royal Assent within the next few weeks after receiving its final reading in the House of Lords last week. But the controversy surrounding the project continues, with warnings that its costs could mushroom.
