The national Infrastructure Commission (NIC) this week insisted it would not duplicate the transport sector’s own processes for identifying major infrastructure investment priorities.
The NIC was responding to concerns raised by Network Rail that the Commission’s National Infrastructure Assessment (NIA) could duplicate the rail industry’s own planning processes.
