The Holmfield interchange, the junction between the A1(M) and the M62, opened on 13 January. The three-level interchange forms part of the £245m design, build, finance and operate upgrade to motorway standard of the A1 between Darrington and Dishforth (LTT 21 August 03). The Wetherby to Walshford and Ferrybridge to Hook Moor sections should be completed later this year.
