Political leaders in the West Midlands conurbation have endorsed a proposed £1.6bn package of public transport improvements, which they say would support delivery of high-speed rail to the conurbation.
The programme consists of 20 measures, nine of which are proposed for delivery before the London-West Midlands high-speed line is due to open in 2026.
