London’s cycle hire scheme should be extended eastwards to cover Hackney, according to the Greater London Authority’s draft planning framework for the ‘City Fringe’ area.
The city fringe opportunity area covers 901 hectares of land in the boroughs of Islington, Tower Hamlets and Hackney, including the Tech City area around Old Street and Shoreditch.
