Minister probes claims councils set ticket targets

Local government minister Brandon Lewis has pledged to look into allegations that three London boroughs are illegally setting targets for the number of penalty charge notices issued by their parking contractors.

The claims appeared in BBC’s Inside Out programme, which reported that Lambeth, Bromley and Hackney are setting targets or offering incentives to their respective operators NSL, VINCI Park and APCOA Parking (UK).
