Kent County Council is exploring ways to fill a multi-million pound funding gap on an already slimmed down package of transport measures to serve development in the boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham.
The 20-year Kent Thameside strategic transport (homes & roads) programme drawn up in 2008 had an estimated value of £200m. A review of the programme has cut the cost to £116m but councillors heard this week that there was still a £32m (current prices) funding gap.
