20mph zone stats questioned

Road safety campaigners have reacted angrily to claims in the national press that the introduction of 20mph limits has been a failure and has led to “soaring accident levels”.

The Sun news report said that “controversial 20mph speed limits are not working, official figures show”, because the number of deaths and injuries in 20mph limits are increasing whilst they are falling in 30mph limits.
