Buses have been found to be the major source of nitrogen oxide emissions in a busy London high street despite only making up 10% of traffic.
The London Borough of Wandsworth commissioned TRL to study the sources of emissions in Putney High Street where nitrogen dioxide concentrations are currently far in excess of the annual and hourly mean air quality strategy objectives.
