European car maker trade body ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Européens d’Automobiles) has published what it refers to as a “comprehensive” set of recommendations to standardise the charging of electric vehicles. The joint industry proposal will, ACEA hopes, pave the way for a future in which one type of plug will be used by electric vehicles, independent of car make, electricity provider or country.
