Transport is not a bolt-on extra for Bristol City Council, but an integral part of its corporate plans for pushing the city into the top 20 most prosperous European cities.

The authority’s 20:20 Vision says that making it easier to cycle or walk and improving public transport journeys are vital if Bristol is to meet its aspiration to rise from being Europe’s 34th top performer by Gross Value Added to at least the 20th compared to its competitors.
