Collaborating to unblock obstacles to bus improvement

Collaboration may be a buzzword of the moment, but the Avon authorities have been involved in joint working and joint delivery of transport schemes a number of years before the word was in such widespread use.

Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath & North East Somerset councils decided to join forces to produce a joint local transport plan five years ago so that they could reach agreement on what transport schemes and interventions were needed across their areas.
