Northern Ireland Assembly passes public transport reforms

The Northern Ireland Assembly has passed new legislation to reform the way public transport is planned and operated.

The Transport Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 puts in place new arrangements for the award of contracts to provide public transport services in Northern Ireland that comply with the EU regulations on contract awards (EC 1370/2007).
