Derry will be first ‘UK city with zero-emission bus fleet’

Derry is poised to become the first city in the British Isles where all urban buses emit no tailpipe air pollution, according to Northern Ireland infrastructure minister Nichola Mallon.

The UK Government announced a competition in February 2020 for funding to create “the UK’s first all-electric bus town”. The competition was for English local authorities only.
