King’s Cross platform 0, Camden

King’s Cross station platform 0 was officially opened last week by transport secretary Philip Hammond. The new platform has been built on the eastern side of the station next to platform 1 on the area that was previously the taxi rank pull-in from York Way. The taxi rank has been relocated to the western side of the station. Use of platform 0 will enable other platforms to be taken out of use on a rolling basis and refurbished as part of the £400m station upgrade (LTT 3 Jul 09)....
