New SPT chair intends to refocus on core activity in wake of expenses scandal

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport has announced two new appointments made in the wake of the Regional Transport Partnership's expenses scandal.

Jonathan Findlay has been elected as the new chairman, with Denis McKenna elected as vice chair.

Findlay, who is a councillor for Drumchapel/Anniesland ward in Glasgow, was nominated and voted in by a majority vote of 14 for and 6 against at a meeting of SPT on Friday. He said he welcomed the role and said he would take the challenge of running SPT...
