Watson and Culley quit SPT

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport was left leaderless this week after the chairman and chief executive both resigned. Councillor Alistair Watson resigned the chairmanship on Monday, citing health grounds. Ron Culley stepped down three days later, again citing health grounds. Watson and Culley have both faced media criticism in recent days over the size of their expense claims.
