The new £25m railway station near East Midlands Airport opened on 26 January.
The four-platform East Midlands Parkway station — owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Trains — has parking for 850 vehicles.
It also includes a park & ride terminal serving Leicester, Derby and Nottingham.
