Former minister brands Lower Thames Crossing ‘unrealistic’

Kent County Council has defended its support for a Lower Thames Crossing after a former transport minister said they should instead back extra crossing capacity at Dartford, where the M25 crosses the Thames.

Stephen Ladyman, the Labour MP for South Thanet in Kent, made the comments to last week’s Freight Transport Association conference on urban logistics.
