Bus strikes in Norwich suspended after talks

Talks between First Eastern Counties managers and union representatives have averted a planned 24-hour bus strike in Norwich over a pay deal. The dispute was supported by 250 Norwich drivers over concerns about delays in agreeing a pay rise. Staff and engineers in Norfolk and Suffolk had agreed to the pay proposals and only city drivers were unwilling to consider the changes. First Eastern Counties said it had offered a realistic pay deal which had been rejected by the Norwich drivers....
