Stagecoach has overcome its fraught relations with Greater Manchester PTE to be named as the the preferred bidder to run the city’s Metrolink light rail system.
The Perth-based group beat off a challenge from French group Keolis to enter into final negotiations with the PTE to take over the operation and maintenance of Metrolink.
