Northampton car park labelled unsafe by highways officer

Highways officers and the emergency services have raised concerns about a new car park that was built in Northampton without planning permission.

The East Island car park was built next to the former Greyfriars bus station in Northampton. The land is owned by Zone Developments, after being sold by the owner of the Grosvenor Centre, Evolve.

Highways officers at West Northamptonshire Council said access to the car park, lies at an acute angle.
