Temporary car park in Wolverhampton to remain open

Permission is being sought to let an unauthorised 24-hour car park in Wolverhampton city centre operate for another year.

The 48-space car park, on the corner of School Street and Fold Street, was initially opened without permission at the start of 2024.

The owners, Parkit Management, had a bid for retrospective planning permission rejected by City of Wolverhampton Council. However a planning inspector overruled the council and allowed it to stay for a year.
