Fast food giant McDonalds has defended its policy of penalising drivers who stay in some of its car parks for more than 45 minutes. The restriction has been introduced at around 40 restaurants because the car parks were being used by non-diners, said a McDonalds spokesman.
For the past year, the firm has been using contractor Civil Enforcement to monitor its car parks using automated number plate recognition cameras. Those over-staying in the car parks are posted a £125 fine. McDonalds...
