A motorist was found guilty of driving into a parking attendant who was issuing him with a penalty charge notice on a Carlisle street.
Michael Durcan, a 26-year-old civil engineer, who lives in London, was fined £500 by magistrates after he admitted driving carelessly. Durcan got into his Renault Clio while an attendant was writing a penalty charge notice. He drove off running over the attendant’s foot and also hit his knee. The attendant was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary....
