Four NCP car parks close in Leicester

City council is not planning to take on loss-making sites

Four NCP car parks in Leicester have been closed following the parking operator’s collapse.

The Abbey Street, East Street, Lee Circle and Rutland Street car parks ceased operating on Friday 27 March after NCP went into administration.

There have been calls for Leicester City Council to take over their operation. However, The city’s Labour mayor Sir Peter Soulsby is not be keen to take on what were loss making enterprises.
