Lorry safety scheme is cutting fatalities, says TfL

The launch of the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) safety scheme in London has been key to a drop in fatal collisions involving lorries, said Transport for London (TfL). In the first year of the scheme nearly 200,000 safety permits have been and more than 112,000 heavy goods vehicles have been fitted with safety measures to protect people walking and cycling.
