The Scottish Government has invited bids for a £1.5m active travel behaviour change fund as it attempts to halt the slide in the proportion of pupils walking and cycling to schools.

The newly released results of the Hands Up Scotland Survey 2022 reveal that active travel for the journey to school has lost most of the ground it gained in 2020, when it peaked at 51.2% following five years of decline.
