The first urban pilot of Wales’ 20mph default limit is expected to achieve a reasonable level of compliance despite excluding enforcement using average speed cameras, as experts had recommended.
The Welsh Government aims to roll out 20mph as the default limit, instead of 30mph, by April 2023. The first two of eight pilots started last month in villages (LTT 14 June).
