NIC asked to study carbon capture

The Treasury has asked the National Infrastructure Commission to provide recommendations on technological solutions to removing greenhouse gases  from the atmosphere. The Treasury says that, in order to achieve the net zero target for greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, “it may be the case that the UK needs to deploy some greenhouse gas removal technologies”.
