Paul Tuohy will join the Campaign for Better Transport as its chief executive next month, succeeding Darren Shirley who has joined the DfT to lead its new acceleration unit (LTT 21 Aug). Tuohy said he wanted the CBT to work “alongside the Government” to ensure the delivery of “effective, reliable, sustainable transport systems”.
