22 August 2020

The Welsh Government has announced a further £264m to help local authorities cope with the cost of Covid-19 this financial year. The Government said the funding would help cover increased costs, manage loss of income pressures, and fund additional cleaning requirements for schools in response to the coronavirus crisis. The funding takes the total additional support provided by the Welsh Government to councils to £490m.
