The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, led by mayor James Palmer, has appointed Baroness Brown of Cambridge to chair a climate change commission that will advise on how the area can achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Brown is deputy chair of the Committee on Climate Change. The combined authority’s commission will produce an interim report in the autumn and final report early next year.
